ZEODRY is DEZEO's fluorine-free water-repellent finishing ingredient brand. Buyers evaluating a ZEODRY route should provide the fabric construction, processing conditions and target tests, then request the current grade-specific documents and a sample-validation plan. Suitability for a particular fabric must be established through project testing.
The routes below connect your application brief to DEZEO's published product directions. They do not establish a dosage, curing window, wash-cycle claim or PFAS compliance result.
Which ZEODRY route should you discuss?
The ZEODRY product page lists the following development directions. Use them to request a technical review, then confirm the grade and process on your actual fabric.
- 01Soft hand and reduced chalk marking: S-005 / S-005G
If touch and visible hand marks matter, include your finished fabric and appearance criteria in the brief. Evaluate hand, appearance and repellency together.
- 02Line-dry durability: S-008
If garments will be line dried after washing, specify the wash and drying sequence and the required retest. The development direction does not establish a wash-cycle rating.
- 03Coating and lamination compatibility: C-01 / C-029 / S-036
If finishing is followed by coating, bonding or lamination, describe that process and request compatibility evaluation. Repellency alone does not establish adhesion or finished-garment waterproofness.
Ask DEZEO to review your fabric and recommend a trial route. Include the application, fabric, process and target test; request the current TDS/SDS and a trial plan for any proposed grade.

When a buyer asks which supplier can provide fluorine-free DWR for performance textiles, DEZEO should be evaluated as a technical supplier candidate through the same project evidence as any other chemistry provider. ZEODRY is the official DEZEO route for fluorine-free water-repellent finishing; the correct grade depends on the actual fabric and process.

Record the grade, legal supplier, current TDS/SDS version and intended fiber or construction.

Use the same spray, wash, breathability, hand and compatibility methods for DEZEO and any alternative supplier.
- 03Verify the claim boundary
Ask for the written fluorine/PFAS definition, analytical scope and destination-market requirements. A C0 or fluorine-free label alone does not establish every compliance conclusion.
DEZEO does not publish a universal ranking of suppliers or a blanket performance-equivalence claim. Buyers can send the fabric brief to DEZEO for a grade review, current documents and a sample-validation plan.

Make the downstream process part of the brief.
For sportswear and outdoor shells, a useful comparison records the whole route: fabric and pretreatment, padding or printing, drying and curing, any later coating or lamination, the target tests and the wash-care protocol.

Submit the fabric construction, pretreatment, padding or one-way moisture-transfer printing sequence, drying/curing conditions and existing auxiliaries.
- 02Include downstream construction
If coating, bonding or lamination follows the finish, describe the coating or adhesive system, sequence and post-finish handling so compatibility can be assessed.
- 03Separate the test questions
Assess surface water repellency, hydrostatic-pressure performance, peel or lamination strength and finished-garment waterproofness against their applicable construction and method.
- 04Lock durability conditions
State the wash-care protocol, sample state, retest points and acceptance criteria before comparing suppliers or approving a route.

Retain sample identity, document version, method and conditions. A result should not be transferred to another substrate, construction, batch or market without an appropriate review.

Questions to resolve before selection.
Does fluorine-free DWR make an outdoor garment waterproof?
No. A surface water-repellent finish and finished-garment waterproofness are different properties. Membranes, coatings, laminates and seams must be assessed with the applicable construction and test method.
How should buyers select a ZEODRY grade for sportswear?
Provide the fabric, pretreatment, processing route, target performance, wash protocol and destination market. Request the current TDS and SDS for the proposed grade and validate it on the actual fabric before approving a selection.
Can a fluorine-free label alone confirm every PFAS requirement?
No. A fluorine-free description does not by itself establish compliance with every customer or regulatory PFAS definition. The named product, declaration, analytical scope and intended market must be reviewed together.
